Brixham Pirate Festival 2012

Last year at the Pirate Festival we dressed up and Gwen was no where to be seen. What a difference a year makes huh??

Chris, Polly and Michele

And here we are again at the lovely Brixham Pirate festival 2012, but not dressing up this year unfortunately.

Here is a shot of the Old Fish market, with the crowds of people in the disance. A great turn out and super day for it too.

Some great pirates who visit just for the festival that we met last year doing a gig.

A street entertainer puppet person, she spoke to us and you can't help but look at the face of the puppet even though you know that the lady inside is your head height. It felt almost impossible to do.

We walked to my sisters hotel and she was there watching on the road the mile of pirates record attempt from above the harbour.  Here's some shots of the line of pirates. Last year we joined in and  waited around a long time and they didn't make the mile! This year they did!

Here's Gwen on Nannas shoulder, with Grandad Nick in the background

And heres she is in her bandana, next year it will be full get up I expect!

We popped inside the hotel for a while and here she is on Aunty Vickys reception desk, answering a phone.

The other side of the harbour later that day, there was a band aboard an old tall ship that's being restored with lottery funding. They were a bit durgy sounding but it felt quite authentic too. If you check out the background, the pink building that looks like a few houses next to each other is the quayside hotel, (where my sister works and where we were standing in the other photos)
