Winter is finally here.

After a long summer and some pretty nice autumns weather it has gone a bit chilly. Hat and scarf weather!!!  This was Halloween! We dressed her as a witch, She wouldn't wear the hat though. SPlit second and it was thrown off!

A morning with Gwen involves her asking for o's ( Cheerios) and lounging in her pj's, watching a spot of tv and playing while either Chris or me sits in the sofa with a cup of tea.

Gwen can say lots of words now. She can tell me the names of numbers when shown and quite a few letters.
Her favourite number is 8! She is saying new words all the time. Oh no, Bump head for example When she hurts herself.    She is a delightful happy little girl, she is quite stubborn however and never walks the way you want. She still staggers a bit, not very sturdy, but not sure if we need to see anyone about it? The eyes aren't better, the op didn't work!  Infact one turns up now too. Another op is on the horizon in maybe 6 months. :(

Teeth are much the same 4 on top, 2 on bootm but she has the 4 big molars through, she is so out of order!!!

Our little smiler!!

A few Piccys

This one is post eye surgery, she was very sleepy for a long time! Poor little ladythis one is before the surgery in waiting room, in her pjs ready. She kept running in and out of the ladies room where other ladies were waiting for their surgery. I hope she cheered them up when they saw how tiny she was.
Sorting out the new t shirt stock. Gwen wearing an extra small.
Some new pjs and washed hair.

A rare one of us, my glasses ain't half wonky. Only wear then first thing though.
Some from her walk with Nanna and Vicky yesterday.

Gwens op

Just to update that Gwen had her eye operation last week and she's bounced back quite well. Eyes still appear to turn in at the moment but they need 3 weeks to settle. Quite stressful and upsetting as she's so little.

Gwen whining and talking. 19 months.

Gwen has had a few wingey days, hoping it just teeth related and its not a new thing. She gets frustrated at the drop of a hat! Others news, she can count to 6 by herself sometimes and can repeat most of the letters in the alphabet. Says quite a few words now, can name a few animals ( well last part of the name usually) giraffe is raffe for example. Says things like shoes, cat. Car. More. She also says 'oh dear' about everything!  She walks all the time now but still falls over, her ankles still look like they roll in so maybe balancing is harder? Her hair has got a lot blonder over the summer, getting a bit too long now too at the front. She doesn't always want to have hair bands in though!

Her eye operation has come through for the 10th oct. hmmm that day will be a bit of a worry!

We have a climber! Climbs up on things, can't really leave her anywhere but the lounge without a bit of mischief!

Sitting in the dolls pushchair. She kept wanting to get in herself so we got her her own armchair!

At whizz kids with Izzy.

In new arm chair, watching the tv!

Great gorillas project in Devon- this one was called lilo.

Recent pics -17/18 months

A few pics from recent dAys

Trying lemon video

I find her expressions quite amusing in this video. We were at Montpellier on Brixham Harbour, a very nice restaurant that's opened up fairly recently.

I think you need to watch this from a laptop rather than a mobile - well my iphone doesn't show it anyway!

Whizz kids

She goes down the slide now! Lunch after was a nightmare wouldn't eat the ham cheese sandwich only ate quavers, krispie square and froob style yoghurt! Hmmm sweet tooth then. She's getting quite feisty, cries instantly and very dramatically if you don't let her have what she wants. Just a phase I tell myself!!

Gwen walking video

Chris called me the other day saying she was doing quite a bit of walking to him out on the deck so i went out and filmed. The longest walk which was about 6/7 steps was just before this film and  I think she had done enough walking by then so only managed some small walks but still good to have a record of it!!

Zoo and paddling pool for the first time.

We went to Paignton Zoo on Sunday as it was a lovely sunny day. We took a picnic and found this lovely picnic area where a few families were lounging in the sun. Gwen I've noticed is quite a sociable thing and crawled off to see this family, they were't exactly next to us as you can see from the picture below. The children eventually started to talk to her, she sat waiting patiently by them as the two older kids were play fighting and then the youngest of the 3 came over and started to say hello. I can only imagine she was giving them her lovely cheeky grin. They were leaving as you can see in the picture so I took sneaky picture as it quite a cute scene. Gwen then stayed there for a fair while just watching them go.

Hers she is sat alone, quite happy, didn't even notice that she was alone it seemed. We called her and she looked left and  right and eventually found us behind her and crawled back over!

Trying to get a nice picture with Gwen is quite difficult now! She doen;s tlook that impressed in this one!

This is the closest we got to getting one of her with Chris, the rest she is writing around trying to get out of his grip.

Here we are with the goats, Chris says he would like one, and he's really serious about it!!

After the zoo we went shopping and I umm'd about whether to get a paddling pool, there was one with no picture for only £3 so I got it. It was great, we blew it up when we got home and I put her in this swimming cossie for the first time. She loved it, she played in the for ages with her tea set..

After a while I thought that water looks a bit murky and then got the dreaded whiff! She had only gone and messed all up her back, the swim nappy did not hold it all in, it was seeping out the sides! Suffice to say it was just yukk!!!! A two person job for me and Chris! I really hope she wasn't drinking the water after she did it! But she seems fine a few days later so no harm done obviously!

She took a few steps

This morning Gwen took her first tentative steps towards me from daddy and then took some towards him not long after! Maybe the supportive shoes we got her are strengthening her ankles! We also had a picnic in the garden with Charlie and the girls and Lucy and her two. They played in the fairy garden making all sorts with twine and sticks. Which reminds me to update my fairy garden blog

Oh and I put her hair in bunches for the first time. Cute!
