As I was doing storyline this evening I thought we'd read some more of flanimals- a book by ricky gervais about made up creatures with funny names like the 'puddleoflage' and even funnier descriptions about their habits. The pictures are really gorgeous too. So I got the idea of tweeting the author as he is a big twitterer and I like his tweets. I didn't expect anything to be honest as he has 4 million followers and thought my message would be one of many. So anyway, I took a picture of her reading the book and Thanet it to him asking for a re tweet, I'm not a huge twitterer and didn't know that people can reply to you anyway without re tweeting! So about a minute later I looked back and there was a reply saying 'lovely'. How nice I thought that he reads the messages but then again he probably quite enjoys the attention, but talk about being busy! He had replied to lots of people before me too, just saying thank you etc. He seemed to go quiet after he replied to me so I like to think he went and had dinner and told his partner about a picture of a little girl reading flanimals! Here is the picture and here is my reply.

Nearly 1!!

Just a day away from a full year old! Picture of Gwen having lunch in spoons with nanna purple of days ago, Gwen having a pre birthday sofa snooze this morning! Also one from twitter via dr Brian cox, of northern lights over England. Pretty cool!!
Thinking back to this time last year, I had my friend Gemma round in the day and kept feeling twinges and thought it just coincided with when I stood up so put it down to being so heavy and standing being a strain! Later that evening I got a twinge during dinner and thought that wasn't because I stood up! Took myself to bed (just incase) and by 11pm they started coming every 10 mins and had to start breathing through them. A full night of no sleep and contractions and she arrived at 3.35 the next afternoon. What a year it's been!! Xxx.

Pretend birthday

As Charlie and the girls half term was a week before ours we did a pretend birthday today. It was more an impromptu 'I saw cakes in tesco and thought we can have some with a cuppa tea and stick a candle on it while we're at it. Also was nice for daisy and iris to sing happy birthday to her. Charlie put her on her shoulders and she rather enjoyed it!

Gemma's flying visit

My friend Gemma popped in briefly in between Egypt and Tenerife jobs. She had some Gwen cuddles- ish!

Funny smiles!

Here's a better of her vampire fangs. Not a beautiful picture I know and she had a snotty nose that I hadn't wiped yet! Her latest 'strange' smile is to scrunch her nose up, so her eyes are hardly open and her eyebrows go a bit like Jack Nicholson! She's a character that's for sure. She is still starting her day early, which is a killer some mornings when it's dark out. Mum tells me the summer isn't so bad! It's her friend Izzys first birthday today! So only 20 days til Gwens! Yikes this year has whizzed by!
I'm busy trying to get prepared for stagecoach and project performers and making costumes! I don't make it simple for myself!
