Christmas Day suprise

After we came home from a lovely day at mum and dads with Charlie Marc Vix and the girls. Chris said he had another present for me, put on the light and went down on one knee. I blubbed of course and said I'd love too, even before he'd opened the ring. What a fabulous end to a wonderful day.

Lupton Christmas concert

Today the children of project performers sang at lupton house. It was a lovely day. Gwen was there too in her pram but Nanna looked after her. She wore her miss Santa again - trying to get some wear out if it! The children did very well and I think it added to the Christmas spirit! X

Father Christmas visit 1 and 2

16th December - we went to the rugby club to see santa.

Santa number 2
We went to town this afternoon in the rain! Did a spot of shopping and then went to see our second Santa of the festive season. It was great!! The edge in Brixham had made a lovely narnia themed one. We walked through a wardrobe and then there was a path with snow topped Christmas trees lining it. A little girl elf was moving presents around, and we could hear Santa saying 'who's coming through the woods I wonder' he had a Little chalet room and he was in his sleigh. There were two other elves helping in there and they had a present slide, her present came down with her name on it. It was super and she didn't cry much, she looked quite unsettled at him but she got used to him. A lovely grotto! It was all free as well!!! We put in a donation but how wonderful. She dressed as miss Santa, here we are waiting our turn.

Gwen is 10 months old today

My word, I know everyone says it, but it really does go so fast!! To mark the occasion we went to Whizz Kidz up at the industrial estate. From the outside it looks like a...well an industrial unit, and inside it's got a cafe and kids ball pools and climbing things in bright colours. Gwen was a bit wimpy about it all, but maybe she'll get more confident if we try again. We went with her friend Izzy and Mum Vicki. We both hope the girls will be great friends when they are older, living so close and going to same school and all. Time shall tell. 

In the afternoon I took Gwen and mum shopping to Torquay as I had to drop a gift off to a friend anyway.( I have been hand making all my gifts this year to save pennies. )

Here she is in her big girl seat, fast asleep while we sat waiting for Nanna to get some dog food in Paignton. There's a mirror in front of her to keep her amused - ish! 

Torquay was rather busy, Gwen slept all the way there, was nice and quiet all the way round the shops but on the way back she had had enough of being strapped in and cried all the way home. It's horrible driving with her crying. Felt tired and icky, driving in the dark, stop start on the way back in traffic,and her screaming!  Told myself not to go shopping with her again. She needs to get out and play around in between, so Internet shopping it is then!

Gwen can do proper crawling

Starting yesterday she is getting her knees up. Video will follow. She is all over the place now, you can't even sit in the lounge for long without her standing up at the tv screen, or up on the sofa, if you try to use laptop, she is there standing by your knees leaning over to tap at the keys. Annoying when you're trying to compose email to prospective students parent! She can even go up the stairs ( with me behind obviously) stair gate arrived today - just in time!

We both have colds at the mo, Gwen also has another tooth cutting thro. I spotted today but not her top 2 but one next to them.

On the 11th Dec I had my little Xmas concert with the children so Mum and Vix came to look after Gwen as Chris was doing the sound for the show. Vicky caught her making her new sound.

Back home again

We're back home now, gwen slept most of the way home, lovely and quiet! We stopped to see her friend Isla in Torquay on the way home, which was lovely. Isla is sitting up very well, Gwen doesn't really like sitting, she can do it but just prefers getting on her tummy. Some pictures from the girls saying goodbye to Gwen this morning at breakfast and trying to get a picture of them all looking! I had to take a video as It's easier to capture the rare moments. I love Gwen doing the asda advert hip tap behind Isla! Also one of her snoozing on Charlie's sofa yesterday. She woke up from her nap a bit too soon, then seemed tired and fell asleep on my shoulder. We had a fun time, but nice to see Chris again who missed us.

We came up yesterday and she slept most of the way, she's facing front now in her car seat so she was happier as she could see me.

Just getting ready for our Xmas photoshoot. We have miss Christmas and an elf costume. We are also gonna try a fairy portrait with me and Gwen as fairies, Charlie would like to offer the idea for Glastonbury folks!
